“No Place to Be But Here” – 20 × 24 – Original Painting
“No Place to Be But Here” is a reflection on the quiet gift of good company — the kind of friendship that asks nothing of you but your presence. Inspired by the ease of sitting with someone who has known you a long while, this piece captures the feeling of a long afternoon with nowhere else to be.
Painted in acrylic on canvas, the composition unfolds through loose, layered fields of color set against a soft, light ground. Blush pink, dusty mauve, sage and forest green, and touches of dusty blue move across the canvas in flat, gestural planes, creating a sense of ease and unhurried warmth. The layered brushwork and quiet texture invite the eye to linger, the way you would in the company of an old friend.
This painting is currently unframed, with framing available as an optional add-on. If desired, please select your preferred framing option below. Approximate dimensions with floater frame: 22” × 26”.
Shipping from Austin, Texas is included in price (within continental United States). Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery and an additional 1-2 weeks if framing is selected.
