Terms and Conditions

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin a commission or reserve an original painting.
The remaining 50% is due upon completion (for commissions) or prior to shipment or delivery (for original artwork).
Payment plans are available for artwork priced at $3,000 or more.
Work or shipment will not begin until the initial payment is received. -
All commissions are created in my signature acrylic painting style, based on your preferences for subject, size, color palette, and mood.
You’ll receive two progress updates: one before framing and one before shipping. Additional check-ins are available upon request.
While I welcome reference photos and inspiration, your commission reflects my unique artistic vision and painterly approach. -
One round of minor edits is included after previewing the final image.
Major changes or shifts in concept after painting has begun may incur additional charges or be declined.
Clear and honest communication early on helps ensure a painting you’ll love. -
Most artwork is ready to ship or deliver within 4–6 weeks.
Framing adds 2–3 additional weeks.
Please share any deadlines at the time of booking. Rush fees may apply for expedited timelines.
If an unexpected delay arises, I’ll communicate that promptly. -
Framing is optional and available for both commissions and original work.
I’ll offer several curated options that complement your piece.
Once a frame is selected and ordered, it cannot be changed.
You’re welcome to frame your artwork locally if preferred. -
All artwork is carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and full insurance.
Local delivery or pickup may be arranged within the Dallas area by request.
Shipping and handling fees are included in your final invoice unless otherwise specified.
If your piece arrives damaged, notify me within 48 hours with clear photos of the packaging and artwork.I’ll file an insurance claim and either refund or replace the piece.
I take full responsibility for damage that occurs during shipping or delivery, as long as it's reported within the required timeframe. -
The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
No refunds are issued once the final balance is paid and the artwork has shipped or been delivered.
If I’m unable to complete your piece for any reason, you will receive a full refund. -
Sarah Mankin Studio retains full copyright on all commissioned and original artwork.
Clients and buyers may not reproduce, alter, or sell images of the artwork without written permission.
I may create and sell prints or reproductions of commissioned artwork unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
You’re welcome to share your piece online—just tag or credit @sarahmankin if you do! -
I may share your artwork (or in-progress photos) on my website, portfolio, or social media.
If it’s a surprise gift or you prefer it remain private, simply let me know—I'm happy to wait to share. -
Please respond to emails and approvals within 3–5 business days to help keep things on schedule.
Share inspiration, reference images, deadlines, or special requests at the beginning of the process.
Final approval before shipping confirms satisfaction.No changes can be made once the artwork has shipped or been delivered.
